3D printing materials we stock and run properly.

We would rather run two filaments perfectly than list eight we cannot support. Every spool is dried, profiled on our machines, and stocked in the colours below for same-day starts.

PLA 3D printing

in stock

The default for visual models, prototypes, jigs and anything that lives indoors. Prints crisply, holds fine detail, and is the most dimensionally predictable filament we run.

Density: 1.24 g/cm³
Nozzle / bed: 220 / 55 °C

Strengths

Sharpest detail and cleanest surface finish
Very low warp, so large flat parts stay flat
Widest colour range on the shelf
Fastest to print, which keeps the price down

Trade-offs

Softens around 55 °C — not for a parked car or direct sun
More brittle than PETG under sudden impact
Not suitable for outdoor or load-bearing use

PETG Translucent 3D printing

Density: 1.24 g/cm³

The choice for functional parts: enclosures, brackets, clips and anything that has to survive heat, moisture or repeated flexing without cracking.

Density: 1.27 g/cm³
Nozzle / bed: 245 / 75 °C

Strengths

Tough and impact-resistant rather than brittle
Handles roughly 75 °C before it softens
Chemical and moisture resistant, safe outdoors
Excellent layer adhesion, so parts are strong in Z

Trade-offs

Slightly softer surface detail than PLA
Prints more slowly, so parts cost a little more
Can string on models with many travel moves
